ANAND PILLAY
Anand Pillay earned his BA Law from the University of Durban Westville and his LLB from the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, in 1982. Admitted as an Attorney in 1985, he founded Anand Pillay and Associates. He also completed advanced studies in taxation and constitutional law and lectured income tax law part-time.

RESHEN PILLAY
Reshen Pillay began his studies in Architecture in 2004 and worked for a reputable firm in Pietermaritzburg while assisting his father, Anand Pillay, administratively. This exposure led him to pursue an LLB degree in 2005, and by 2010, at age 23, he was admitted as an Attorney.
Reshen has gained experience in various legal fields, including criminal law, family law, and property law, becoming a conveyancer, Notary Public, and registered business rescue practitioner. Passionate about human rights law, he has held leadership roles within the National Association of Democratic Lawyers (Nadel) and now plays a key role in managing the firm.

RAVASHA PILLAY
Ravasha completed her LLB at UKZN (PMB) and served articles at Gani & CO Attorneys (2013-2014). She was admitted as an attorney in February 2015, later becoming a Business Rescue Practitioner in 2016, a Conveyancer in 2019, and a Notary Public in 2022. Her passion lies in Estates and Conveyancing, with strong views on Human Rights and Gender.
Ravasha is known for her creativity, strong work ethic, excellent communication, and analytical skills. Committed to client satisfaction, she goes beyond the call of duty. Her sound judgment, diligence, and fairness have earned her roles as a prosecutor and member of the Disciplinary and Investigating Committee of the Legal Practice Council (LPC). She also lectures Legal Aid students and Candidate Legal Practitioners in Estates. Ravasha’s deep legal knowledge, preparedness, compassion, and rapport with clients make her a valued consultant at Anand Pillay INC, where she offers comprehensive legal advisory services and upholds high standards of client service.

DERESHEN NAIDU
Achieving 6 distinctions in his national senior certificate examinations, he went on to complete his Bachelor of Commerce degree, in 2017, and thereafter completing his Bachelor of Laws at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Dereshen commenced his candidacy at Anand Pillay Attorneys Inc in 2020 under the supervision of Anand Pillay. He currently practises in the fields of criminal law (incl of domestic violence and harassment applications), Family Law, Commercial Law, Property Law and general Magistrates Court and High Court litigation and all agency/correspondent matters on behalf of out of town attorneys.
He is goal driven, sets high standards for himself and goes out of his way to ensure service delivery.

NITISHA PAKKARI
Having obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in the fields of Law and Politics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal she went on to complete her LLB degree. In fulfilment of her dream of becoming a Criminal Law Practitioner and Conveyancer she commenced candidacy at Anand Pillay Attorneys Inc under the supervision of Reshen Pillay. Her dedication and commitment has enabled her to gain immense experience in the fields of Criminal Litigation, (incl of domestic violence and harassment applications), Family Law, Insolvency Law, Commercial Law and general Magistrates Court and High Court litigation. As a self-motivated female in an emerging gender equality society Nitisha believes that having a strong educational background and a great passion for law is what has equipped her to carry out the mandate of our firm. She is goal driven, sets high standards for herself and goes out of her way to ensure service delivery.
