About Reshen Pillay

Having matriculated at Heather Secondary School in 2003, Mr Reshen Pillay proceeded to study architecture at the University of Kwa Zulu Natal. In 2004, he worked for a reputable firm of Architects in Pietermaritzburg and at the same time assisted his father Anand Pillay at his firm from an administrative perspective. It was this involvement and interaction with the firm that led Reshen to have a complete change of heart.  He registered for his LLB degree in 2005 and after completing same subsequently went on to completing his professional legal training (PLT) at the University of Kwa Zulu Natal Law School.    

On the 21st April 2010 and at the age of 23 years he was admitted as Attorney. Mr Pillay was exposed to the various aspects of law which included, Criminal Law, Gaming and Liquor Law, all aspects of Family law, High Court and Magistrates court litigation, Insolvency Law, Property Law and of late Labour Law.

Having a passion for property law coupled with his background in the architecture field, he embarked upon the route of becoming a conveyancer. On the 25th August 2017 Reshen was admitted as a conveyancer and in addition to his other specialities will practice as a conveyancer at the now incorporated Anand Pillay Attorneys.

Apart from being admitted as a Conveyancer he has completed a Notarial training course and will shortly be writing the Notarial examination. In addition, Reshen has completed the examination to practice as a Business Rescue practitioner and the firm will also now offer Insolvency Law and business restructuring services.
